Mount Naomi Wilderness

Mount Naomi Wilderness is a 44,569-acre federally protected wilderness area in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. It offers backcountry hiking and backpacking in a primitive, non-motorized landscape where solitude and self-reliance are central to the experience.

The wilderness is accessible only on foot or horseback—no roads, motors, or mechanized travel are permitted. Visitors must follow Leave No Trace principles and come prepared for remote backcountry conditions. Access points exist via trailheads on national forest land; check with the managing Forest Service office for current conditions and entry details before you go.

Season runs from late spring through early fall, with snow and cold making winter travel hazardous. Summer and early autumn are the safest and most comfortable times to visit. Plan accordingly for weather, water, and the self-sufficient nature of wilderness travel.
