Miller Peak Wilderness

Miller Peak Wilderness is a 20,251-acre federally protected wilderness area in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It protects a primitive backcountry landscape where hiking and backpacking are the primary pursuits. The wilderness follows strict non-motorized, non-mechanized rules—no roads, motors, or mountain bikes are permitted. Visitors should expect authentic solitude and challenging terrain; this is genuine backcountry, not a developed recreation area.

Access requires foot travel only. Plan for self-sufficiency in navigation and Leave No Trace practices—pack out all waste, camp only in designated dispersed sites where permitted, and respect the wilderness character that makes this land protected.
