Little Lake George Wilderness

Little Lake George Wilderness is a 2,827-acre federally protected wilderness area in Florida, managed by the Forest Service. This backcountry preserve is entirely roadless and motor-free, offering visitors the chance to experience primitive Florida landscape on foot.

Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to explore the wilderness. The area delivers genuine solitude and a non-mechanized backcountry experience—no roads, vehicles, or mountain bikes are permitted. Visitors should come prepared to navigate and camp with a Leave No Trace ethic, packing out all waste and minimizing impact on the landscape.
