Little Lake Creek Wilderness

Little Lake Creek Wilderness is a 3,956-acre federally protected wilderness area in Texas, managed by the Forest Service. It offers a true backcountry experience in a primitive setting where motorized travel, mechanized equipment, and roads are prohibited. Visitors come here primarily to hike and backpack through undeveloped terrain, seeking solitude and connection with the natural landscape away from developed facilities.

Access requires foot traffic only—no vehicles, bikes, or motors are permitted within the wilderness boundary. Visitors must follow Leave No Trace principles: pack out all waste, camp below treeline where allowed, use established campsites when possible, and minimize impact on vegetation and water sources.
