Horse Valley Wilderness Area spans over 14,500 acres of federally protected backcountry in Utah, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This is primitive, non-motorized terrain where the landscape rewards hikers and backpackers seeking genuine solitude and untracked wilderness experience.

The wilderness operates under strict protection: no roads, motors, or mechanized travel are permitted. Visitors must travel on foot and practice Leave No Trace principles—pack out all waste, camp well away from water sources, and leave the land as you found it. Access is typically from trailheads on surrounding public lands, though entry points and seasonal conditions vary.
