Eagle Canyon Wilderness Area

Eagle Canyon Wilderness Area is a 15,089-acre federally protected wilderness in Utah, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This is primitive backcountry where motors, mechanized equipment, and vehicles are prohibited—you travel on foot or horseback only. The landscape offers hiking and backpacking through remote terrain where solitude and self-reliance are central to the experience.

Visiting means accepting wilderness rules: no roads, no development, and a commitment to Leave No Trace principles. Water, weather, and isolation are real considerations. Access typically involves trailheads on BLM land or adjacent property; plan ahead, bring a map and compass or GPS, and be prepared for variable conditions.
