Darwin Falls Wilderness Area

Darwin Falls Wilderness Area encompasses 8,842 acres of federally protected backcountry in California, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This is primitive wilderness—no roads, motors, or mechanized travel are permitted. Visitors must travel on foot or horseback, and the landscape rewards those seeking genuine solitude and untracked exploration.

Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to experience the area. The wilderness offers a remote, undeveloped setting far from developed facilities or infrastructure.
