Cinder Cone Wilderness Area is an 18,329-acre federally protected wilderness in New Mexico, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The landscape is primitive backcountry open to non-motorized exploration, where hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to experience the terrain and find solitude away from developed areas.
