Wenatchee National Forest

Wenatchee National Forest spans over 650,000 acres across central Washington, offering a mix of forest landscapes and outdoor recreation opportunities. The forest supports hiking, backpacking, and camping across dispersed sites and developed areas, along with fishing in streams and lakes, hunting in designated seasons, and scenic driving through forested terrain. Summer and early fall are the primary seasons for most activities, with access and trail conditions best from late spring through mid-autumn. Winter snow closes higher elevations and many backcountry routes, though some lower areas remain accessible.
