Umatilla National Forest

Umatilla National Forest spans over 815,000 acres across northeastern Oregon, offering a mix of forested terrain and open country managed for multiple uses. The forest supports a range of outdoor pursuits year-round: hiking and backpacking on established trail networks, dispersed camping throughout the forest, fishing in streams and lakes, and hunting during designated seasons. Scenic driving routes wind through the forest, revealing the landscape's variety. Horseback riding and off-road vehicle use are also available on designated routes.
