Siskiyou National Forest

Siskiyou National Forest spans over 535,000 acres in southwestern Oregon, offering the full range of recreation available on public forestland. You'll find trails for hiking and backpacking, dispersed camping throughout the forest, streams and rivers for fishing, and seasonal hunting opportunities. The forest supports wildlife viewing and photography, and rough forest roads provide access for scenic driving and off-highway vehicle use.

The landscape transitions through mixed conifer forest typical of the region's elevation and climate. Access is year-round, though snow and weather in winter months (December through March) can close higher roads and trails or make them difficult. Summer and early fall are the prime seasons for most activities. Many areas remain accessible in spring and late fall when conditions permit.
