Sabine National Forest

Sabine National Forest spans over 125,000 acres across East Texas, offering a mix of woodland recreation on public land managed by the Forest Service. The forest supports fishing in its streams and lakes, dispersed camping throughout the forest, and hunting seasons for game. Trails wind through the property, and scenic driving is available on forest roads. Visiting is generally feasible spring through fall, with summer and early autumn offering the most comfortable conditions. Winter is passable but less popular. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, and the forest operates as multiple-use land where recreation coexists with other forest uses.
