Lincoln National Forest

Lincoln National Forest spans roughly 825,000 acres across southern New Mexico, offering a varied landscape for backcountry exploration and day-use recreation. The forest supports hiking, backpacking, dispersed camping, and fishing across its terrain. Scenic driving routes provide access to the forest's natural features, and the land also accommodates hunting during appropriate seasons and horseback riding.

Visitation peaks during the warmer months when trails and backcountry areas are most accessible.
